Linking To Create an Interactive Dashboard

Dashboard Tutorial for Business Objects 4.0: Linking to Create an Interactive Dashboard

The Linking feature allows you to use elements within a report (a table or chart) to act as input controls for a selection performed in another element (a table, chart, or the entire report). You can specify whether one or all of the elements dimensions will be used as selectors.

Often we want to hide a column because it's needed for sorting, now it's possible to quickly hide a set of columns. We can choose to dynamically hide/show a report element. The linking and hiding features available in Webi 4.0 combine to help provide an Interactive Dashboard-like feature in BusinessObjects 4.0.
